Rental Terms & Conditions

1. The Rental Agreement

The hire of any items from Event And Signs (the “Company”) by the customer (the “Client”) is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. By submitting an order, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms.

2. Hire Period & Pricing

• Standard Hire Period: All standard hire prices cover a $24$-hour period, typically defined as $\text{10:00}$ am on the day of the event to $\text{10:00}$ am the day after. Longer hire periods can be arranged at a discounted daily rate.

• Pricing: The prices listed on our website are per item (e.g., per number, per neon sign) and are subject to VAT at the current rate (if applicable).

• Booking Confirmation: A $\text{50\%}$ non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date. The remaining balance is due $\text{14}$ days prior to the event date.

3. Damage, Loss, and Security Deposit

• Security Deposit: A refundable Security Deposit (amount specified on the product page, typically $\text{£}50-\text{£}150$) will be added to your order. This is held against any potential damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required for the hired items.

• Refunds: The deposit will be refunded in full within $\text{7}$ business days of the hire period ending, provided all items are returned undamaged and on time.

• Client Liability: The Client assumes full responsibility for the hired items from the point of delivery/collection until they are safely returned/collected by the Company. The Client is liable for the full replacement cost of any item lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair.

4. Service Type Liability

• Full-Service Hire: The Company is responsible for safe transport, professional setup, and collection. Liability for damage transfers to the Client once the item is installed at the venue and signed for.

• Dry-Hire (Customer Collection): The Client is responsible for safe transportation, installation, and return of the item. The Client assumes full liability for any damage or loss that occurs during transit. Items must be returned in the transit cases provided.

5. Cancellations

• Client Cancellation:

  • Cancellations made $90$ days or more before the event date will forfeit the $\text{50\%}$ booking deposit.

  • Cancellations made less than $14$ days before the event date will be liable for the full rental fee.
